Luna has been taking cooking all semester and watches Is It Cake on Netflix constantly, so today she demanded we bake a cake. I asked her if we could just use boxed cake mix but she refused and insisted on making it from scratch. She is surprisingly good at cracking eggs and when I was worried the batter looked low in the pan, she assured me it would rise in the oven. She also proved quite skilled at frosting with her wooden spatula. She decided to top the cake with crushed Oreo, and sprinkles of skulls and bats.
