Happy New Year! Luna loves dips, not necessarily with chips or crackers. Sometimes, for example, she will eat straight guacamole, without dips. Or pico de gallo. Or salsa. This week for New Year’s Eve we went to Palm Springs for a little getaway so mom and dad could hike, and Luna had her dad’s favorite queso, the skillet queso from Chili’s, for the first time.

We only went with four out of five of the family members, as Isa stayed home with our helper, Yani. That meant we kept in constant touch with Isa by sending her family photos and videos, and Isa sent us videos of her daily activities.
